Statement from Mayor Dan Sullivan |
Like all Anchorage residents, I am shocked and dismayed to learn about the criminal charges against Anchorage Police Officer Anthony Rollins.
The legal system will determine the guilt or innocence of Officer Rollins. It is my responsibility to make sure that proper procedures are in place at APD for ensuring that these kinds of situations are investigated in a thorough manner. I will work with Chief Heun to make sure that happens.
A major part of making Anchorage an ever better place to live and raise a family is guaranteeing public safety. In order for that to happen, it is imperative that our residents have full confidence in and respect for their police department.
